This policy explains what [The Good Call Group, LLC] ("Good Call", "we") collects when you use goodcallgroup.com and app.goodcallgroup.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@goodcallgroup.com.

The short version:

  • We collect what we need to match you with a pro and run the Service.
  • Your contact details go only to the pro holding your job and our team.
  • We don't sell your information, and we don't show ads.

1. What we collect

From customers

  • Account: name, email, phone number, service address, and how you prefer to be contacted.
  • Requests: what you describe, photos you add, access notes, the time window you pick, ratings you give, and your request history.
  • Membership: your plan and billing status. Stripe processes your card. We never see or store your full card number.

From pros

  • Business listing: business name, structure, year founded, crew size, base location, service areas, hours, trades, services, rates and member discount, website, review links, social handles, languages, and your logo or photo.
  • Contact: owner or contact name, phone, and the email addresses you want alerts sent to.
  • Vetting: license numbers and types, general excise tax license number, insurance status and expiry dates, and documents you upload (like insurance certificates and license cards).
  • Job activity: offers, accepts and passes, check-in and done times, reports, prices you enter, ratings you receive, and cancellations.
  • Location on the way: if you agree, your device's location from when you tap On my way until you check in, while the app is open, and any single location you choose to share during active jobs, or when a Good Call admin asks and you agree to share.
  • Check-in distance: if you allow location when you tap Check in, your device's location is used once to work out how far you are from the job address. We store that distance, not your location.

From everyone

  • Messages you send us, including through the website contact form.
  • Device and usage: browser and device type, pages and features used, and error reports. These help us fix problems and improve the app.
  • Push alerts: if you turn on job alerts, a push token for your device.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

  • create your account and sign you in with email codes
  • route requests to the right trade and offer them to available pros
  • show each side what they need for a booked job
  • send sign-in codes, job updates, reminders, receipts and daily recaps
  • run memberships and billing
  • vet pros and check licenses and insurance
  • keep the Service safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms
  • understand how the Service is used and improve it
  • meet legal obligations

3. Who sees what

  • Pros offered your request see the job description, photos, your neighborhood or town, the distance, and the time window. They don't see your name, phone, email or street address.
  • The pro who takes your job sees your name, address, phone, email and contact preference, for that job only.
  • Customers see a pro's listing: business name, trades, areas, rating, logo or photo, and, once booked, the pro's contact details.
  • Good Call admins can see account and job details to run the Service and help with problems.
  • Pro location: the customer sees only the latest position for their own job, while the pro is on the way. Admins also see that job's route.
  • Pro documents like insurance certificates are seen only by that pro and our vetting team.

4. Service providers we use

We share information with companies that run parts of the Service for us. They may use it only to provide their service to us.

We may also share information:

  • if the law requires it
  • to protect someone's safety or our rights
  • with a buyer or successor if the business is sold or merged, under this policy

5. What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent your personal information.
  • We don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We don't show ads in the app.
  • We don't send text messages.

6. How long we keep it

If you start a request and don't finish, we keep what you entered for up to 30 days so we can follow up.

A pro's route on a job, and any single location they shared, are deleted 30 days after the job ends.

We keep account and job records while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as we need them for legal, tax, safety and dispute reasons. That's typically up to [7] years for billing and job records. Sign-in attempt logs and error reports are kept for shorter periods. When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove what identifies you.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Access, correct or delete: you can update most details in the app. To get a copy of your information or delete your account, email hello@goodcallgroup.com. We may need to keep some records the law requires.
  • Push alerts: turn them off in your device or browser settings.
  • Emails: sign-in codes, receipts and job updates are needed to use the Service. Pros can turn off the daily recap in Profile.
  • Location: you can say no to location at check-in, and check-in still works.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law. We honor them, and we won't treat you differently for using them.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and row-level security so each person sees only the records they're allowed to. Sign-in is by one-time email codes with rate limits, and there are no passwords to steal. No system is perfectly secure, so please tell us right away if you think your account was misused.

9. Children

Good Call is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a minor has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes

We'll post updates here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email you or show a notice in the app first.
